A police officer who was on duty at Barbourfields Stadium for Highlanders and Chicken Inn encounter is feared dead after crowd trouble erupted.

The match ended one all.

However, trouble started in injury time when Chicken inn scored in the 91st minute.

The assistant referee signalled a goal but the referee overruled saying he had blown the final whistle.

Chicken Inn players confronted the referee who stood his ground.

Chaos erupted when Highlanders player Peter Mudhuwa was clapped by the visitors player.

Suspected Highlanders fans invaded the pitch but scores of police officers with dogs were seen fleeing ground.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that four people were arrested in connection with the suspected death of the unidentified cop.
