What I Learnt At Shopite Supermarket

30 May 2017 at 21:00hrs | Views
A few days ago I passed by Shopite supermarket on my way from work, quite hungry I must say. I set my eyes on one of the ready made foods available on the shelves. I was in a hurry, probably being pushed by my hunger.

As I was about to take this sandwich one guy said to me, "Wait a minute my brother, look over there, one of the staff members is reducing the prices."

And behold, there came a staff member carrying small stickers and sticking these new stickers with new prices on the food items that I was about to buy. She explained that these had to be cleared before the end of the day to avoid getting bad and the company making a loss. I bought the items for less than the original price.

This incident reminded me how time and time again we miss the best things in life because we just couldn't wait one more minute, waiting just one more month, or waiting just one more year. We insist on hurrying to get what we want, in our own time and miss out the enormous advantages of the right timing. What shall it profit a man, to try and force things to unsuccessfully or regrettably happen at his own premature time and miss out on God's favour.

Look, the only difference between the original double cost and my discounted price was just waiting a few more seconds! Sometimes the only difference between the abortion and manifestation of your dream is waiting just a few more seconds ... waiting a few more hours ... waiting a few more months.

Hold on! Wait! Keep hoping! At the right time it will happen. Nothing shall stand in the way of a man whose time has come!
