Ubaba uShabalala provided exemplary leadership by promoting African tradition through beautiful music characterised by deeply and freshening melodious African voices. Ubaba uShabalala worked with many groups in the region and outside the region and on the world stage. He took our traditional music to the international fraternity.

A lot of our young people benefited from our great music icon. Our icon kept the entire africa and the entire world united through music.

It is not a family loss, it is not a South African loss. It is a loss to Africa. It is a loss to the entire world. We have lost a pivot to our unity as abantu.

Joseph Tshabalala impacted and inspired many artists with his classic hits. He will live through his music to inspire more artists for generations to come.
