Newly elected president Thulani Khumalo
On the 12th of October, the Rotaract club of NUST held the 2019 induction dinner for the incoming president, Thulani Khumalo.

The event was graced by the President of the Rotarary club of Bulawayo south and several other rotarians, to whom with their help, the now-former president of the club Ashton Bille passed the button to Thulani.

The event marks the beginning of the tenure for the new president (Thulani) including his board. It was also was a review of the activities carried out by the club in the past year and the blueprint for the upcoming year to fulfil our duties as rotaractors.

We would greatly appreciate if you could run the story also encompassing the several projects being carried out and projects we intend to carry out.

Such as the breast cancer awareness month (October)  named pinktober. Where the club is spearheading the campaign to increase breast cancer awareness around Nust, Bulawayo and our Country at large. The intention of the awareness spree is to enrich peoples knowledge about breast cancer which includes early diagnostic, early treatment and so forth.

We also undergoing a Sanitary wear campaign, with the intention to gather a substantial amount of sanitary pads to donate to local hospitals and homes where there are lacking. The aforementioned Sanitary wear campaign has been coined the pad drive. The initiative encourages students to donate sanitary wear and it is later distributed to the less privileged communities in and around Bulawayo.

The club is also involved in mental health awareness issues amongst other issues which affect students and our communities in Zimbabwe.
