Fans of South Africa's Dalom Music, which is fronted by Dan Tshanda, have everything to rejoice for as the muso and his stable are set to trek to Bulawayo for a show before the end of this month.

Tshanda last performed in the country in 2012 and music lovers have been itching to watch his stable on stage as they had been used to seeing the act on an annual basis.

Sekunjalo Promotions director Dave Ncube said they have concluded an agreement for the show that is set for 22 August.

Other artistes from the Dalom group that will perform at the show include Montana, Dalom Kids, Splash, Matshikos and old school Afro-pop artiste, Sydney.

Ncube said Tshanda would be in the country next week to announce the shows to his fans and they would take the opportunity to hold a Press conference and road shows to publicise the show.

"We are aware it has been a long wait for Dalom fans but we would like to assure them the wait is over and Dan will be leading the musicians on 22 August at Hartsfield Rugby Ground. Tshanda is eagerly looking forward to the show after having played in the city in 2012," he said.

Tshanda revealed last year that he was looking for the "right promoter" to work with as he felt those he had been working with had shortchanged him.

At the time he was quoted saying he had lost a lot in terms of business because of unprofessional promoters adding that at times he was forced to dig deep into his pockets to save his shows after they (promoters) bungled, especially with documents.

"I have been working with a lot of promoters in Zimbabwe, but the problem I am facing is that they are not bargaining faithfully.

"As a result I usually lose as I am meant to cover their dues because I don't want to have a bad reputation with service providers," he was quoted saying in the media.
However, the disco music icon confirmed last week he was finally making a return to Bulawayo adding he was looking forward to the performances.

"Yes, we are coming and we are putting finals details in preparation for the show, I would like to assure my fans that we will definitely be performing in the country in August. We have struck an agreement with Dave," he said.

"I have been to Bulawayo on countless occasions and the crowd appreciation is great hence it has always been my wish to perform each year in Zimbabwe. We have a great show in store for the fans."

Tshanda is one of the most followed musicians in Matabeleland where he has a huge fan base and at one point he was coming into the country twice a year to hold shows due to his immense popularity.

Dalom Music's all night shows had become a favourite of many, attracting thousands to the shows.

Their disco music beat had gained a religious following at many entertainment joints in the city and in public passenger transport.

Revellers are, however, certain to feel the absence of Patricia Majalisa, as the songstress is no longer under the Dalom Stable. Majalisa has established herself as one of the top musicians under the Splash brand and had cultivated a cult following of her. The musician has always livened up the Dalom shows performing a popular set that would have all the revellers on their feet.
