Organisers of the Dan Tshanda music tour have assured fans that the shows would be going ahead next weekend with all the necessary procedures having been done to bring the music groups into the country.

Sekunjalo Events Management director Dave "Madamara" Ncube said Tshanda and his Dalom Music stable would arrive in the country on Friday for a show at Eland House in Beitbridge followed by a performance in Bulawayo at Hartsfield Rugby Ground before taking their act to Harare where they play at Pamuzinda on 5 September.

Ncube also produced a tax clearance from Zimra and a police clearance for the show, saying payment had been made to the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe offices in Bulawayo on Friday for clearance.

"We would like to assure Dalom Music fans the tour is going ahead as scheduled as we have received approval from all the relevant authorities."

There was uncertainty over the shows following reports last week that NACZ would not clear the Dan Tshanda shows until he resolved a contractual dispute with a promoter who paid him for a show that was later aborted.

Tshanda last performed in the country in 2012 and music lovers have been itching to watch his stable on stage as they had been used to seeing the act on an annual basis.

Other artistes from the Dalom group that will be part of the tour include Montana, Dalom Kids, Splash, Matshikos and old school Afro-pop artiste, Sydney.

Ncube said the artistes were busy with rehearsals and they were ready to put top drawer performances during the tour.

"Tshanda, along with other musicians from his stable are eager to reconnect with their Zimbabwean fans and they are promising nothing but a great show and people should come and enjoy great entertainment," he said.

Dalom Music's all night shows had become a favourite of many attracting thousands to the performances.

Revellers are, however, certain to feel the absence of Patricia Majalisa, as the songstress is no longer under the Dalom stable. Majalisa had established herself as one of the top musicians under the Splash brand and had cultivated a cult following. The musician has always livened up the Dalom shows performing a popular set that would have revellers on their feet.
